I came out at 23 in 2016 after an 11-year struggle with myself and my identity. Who would have thought that the answer to my questions and doubts was the simplest one that one could imagine. 🤔
.
I didn’t have to choose. 😮
.
However, coming out always comes with its dilemmas and bullshit from other people, whether family or friends. 😅 I have allowed my identity to be erased in order to fit in or not get scolded or to not be rejected, but along the years I’ve taken back my power. 🥊
.
I want to share with you some projections I have received during those years of weakness and people-pleasing. 🤢
.
- It's a phase
- You're just confused
- You're a greedy whore
- You have to choose one, not both
- Once you're with a man it'll go away
- You've never been with anyone so you can't say you're bi
- You will never be sexually satisfied with a woman, you need a dick inside you
.
So to all these ex-friends, I want to say a big fuck you. Your opinion of me does not define me, but it speaks volumes about the type of scum that you are.

And to you, my friend, I hope you are proud of your identity, of who you are and for being alive.
.
Your current circle may not love you now, but that’s not what you get for the rest of you life. I ask of you to do what I did, step out of it and expand.
.
I know it’s not easy to step out of you comfort zone, not knowing what will happen can be scary, but ask yourself “What am I missing out on by not doing XYZ?”
.
Do you prefer familiar pain or temporary discomfort? As always, the choice is yours.

It’s your time to expand, grow and shine. ✨
